I found out today that my company is hiring a VP of IT. When I started I’ve been pushing for growth and to be running the show. After being overwhelmed I pushed for hiring another person to take up the slack of the routine. “This is how you copy and paste.” But, I was shot down because I wasn’t allowed to tell management how to run the company. It’s ok though for them to go and hire someone for VP of IT because they needed someone who can tell management what to do… and I’ll be looked over, and they’ll come in and tell me after the deal is done that I’ll basically be in my position to rot till I’m 50.
Maybe it’s not that bad. But right now, it just feels like a kick to the face.
